Homages Pour In for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt prepared to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has passed that I can at last express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner made him fall in love. "Once we started sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the movie, remarking that he could not remember "one day without mirth".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the best person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a different tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles court official agreed to block the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A legal directive issued a security hold on the cases to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" connected to the active case.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a official listing citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".
